When he was ten years old, he was ordained as a novice and his father then gave him the magic crystal ball. After that, he traveled to Si Young Temple (Si Khoo Young Temple) in order to futher his education with Phra Shinnasen who was a skillful and reputable monk from the capital city of Sri Ayutthaya. While the junk was sailing in the Chumphon City, there was very windy and the sea turned to be stormy sea creating high waves and panicking. In order to prevent the ship from sailing any further, it had to be anchored there for seven days, resulting in lack of food and water. The crews were in doubt that the bad omen was caused by Chao Samee Ram. So, they decided to send him ashore to an island by inviting him to take a small boat for his trip to such island. While sitting in the boat, he let loose his left leg to soak in the sea water and all of a sudden a miraculous event occurred: It was said that the sea water in that vicinity sparked with glittering and glowing lights. Chao Samee Ram then told the crews to scoop up water to drink which they felt that the salty water they were drinking were fresh water. So, they helped each other in fetching the water enough for drinking. The Master of the ship then invited Chao Samee Ram back on board again. After that, Chao Samee Ram continued to be the Cheeton or teacher of In, the owner of the junk ever since.

The supernatural power of Chao Samee Ram by turning salty water to fresh water by soaking his leg in the sea has been the story talked about by everyone ever since until the present day.
